McAulay Smith Finds New Head of North American End User Sales for APM Terminals

CHARLOTTE, NC, August, 2017 – APM Terminals has added Dale Butterfield to their team as the Head of North American End User Sales in Charlotte, NC. APM Terminals is a leading global port and cargo inland services provider with a presence in 69 countries providing the world’s most geographically balanced global terminal network with 73 ports, 9 new ports under construction and 10 facilities in expansion mode – along with an inland services network spanning 140 locations.

Based in The Hague, Netherlands, the company employs over 22,615 people and works with shipping lines, importers/exporters, governments, business leaders and the entire global supply chain to provide solutions that help nations achieve their ambitions and businesses reach their performance goals.

Dales joins them from American Tire Distributors where he was the Director of Global Logistics. In that role, he was focused on data analytics and business intelligence functions while overseeing the freight forwarding companies and distribution centers with respect to logistics and inventory management across different business lines. 

Prior to American Tire, Dale was with Lowe’s Companies where he worked in International Supply Chain as the Optimization Manager, managing the multibillion dollar company’s operations from a cost and logistics standpoint involving a volume of 120,000 containers and an annual spend of $320MM.
