CHARLOTTE, NC, March 14, 2019 – David Sorrick joins The Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. (EPRI) as Director of Research & Development Generation. EPRI conducts research, development and demonstration projects for the benefit of the public in the U.S. and internationally.
As an independent, nonprofit organization for public interest energy and environmental research, EPRI focuses on electricity generation, delivery and use in collaboration with the electricity sector, its stakeholders and others to enhance the quality of life by making electric power safe, reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible.
Sorrick brings over 28 years of substantial operational experience in the power generation arena, where he has worked for industry leaders such as Tennessee Valley Authority, Duke Energy/Progressive Energy, Florida Power Corporation and GE Power Systems. Sorrick has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Electrical Power from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an MBA from University of South Florida.
